Princess Mthombeni

Princess Mthombeni, also known as “Princy,” is a multi-award-winning communication specialist and nuclear technology advocate from KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. With over a decade of experience, she provides high-level strategic support to governments in executing nuclear communication strategies.

Princy founded Africa4Nuclear, an advocacy campaign promoting nuclear energy for Africa’s sustainable development. She has become a Thought Leader in nuclear and energy communication across Africa, speaking at global events such as COP28, COP27, and COP26. Her work has been featured in international news outlets like World Nuclear News and The Guardian.

In recognition of her contributions, Princy received the Women in Nuclear Global Excellence Award in 2021 and the Women in Nuclear South Africa award in 2022. She has served on the boards of Women in Nuclear South Africa and the African Young Generation in Nuclear, advancing the peaceful use of nuclear technology for global benefit.
